Grace visits the Alamo

Yeehaw...Grace visited the Alamo yesterday with the family and took her very first boat ride, a tour of the Riverwalk in San Antonio. We all had a great time! I'm glad we were able to make our trip this time. Last week we attempted to visit San Antonio, but got caught up in a huge storm that dumped 9 inches of rain on San Antonio. Needless to say, we didn't do any sightseeing. We drove all the way there, ate lunch, and drove home after realizing that the storm wasn't passing! It was quite an adventure. Driving in that rain was insane!

This trip was a hit! After our tour of the Alamo and boat cruise, we cooled off at the Irish pub on the Riverwalk and topped off our day with dinner at the Magic Time Machine, a fun restaurant where the waitstaff are all dressed up as different characters. Harry Potter was our waiter, and it was a blast! We celebrated Liam's seventh birthday, which is coming up in September.

We've discovered that Grace is quite the traveler. She had a great day and seemed to adjust well to her new surroundings. Have I mentioned how awesome she is?
